Indranil Gupta is a PGDPM&IR (MBA in HR) from Xavier Institute of Social Service (XISS), Ranchi, India (Class of 1993), one of the leading Business Management Schools in Human Resources in India, Asia. In a career spanning over two decades, he has had extensive and well-rounded experience in the various facets of Human Resources function, in both Industry Practitioner and Management Consultant capacities.
He has worked in various Leadership Roles with Companies like Sprint-RPG (RPG Enterprises), Ericsson-Hewlett Packard Telecom (EHPT), Mahindra-British Telecom (Tech Mahindra), Bharti-Televentures (Bharti Airtel) and Xansa (Steria), driving their Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, Talent Performance and Talent Reward processes.
His areas of interests and expertise have been Organization Design, Process Engineering, Change Management, Employee Engagement, Performance Management, Competency Development, Assessment Tools, Compensation & Benefits, Global Mobility, Policy Formulation, Workforce Analytics and HRIS Automation, amongst others.
He has efficiently and effectively managed HR functions in organization start-ups and transformations at different stages in his career. He has successfully executed multiple and complex assignments and projects, in both Indian and International environments, often under challenging and demanding company and market circumstances. He has also travelled to USA and Europe as an integral requirement of his work in different organizations.
He is widely recognized and regarded in the industry as a thought leader and one of the pioneers in the areas of Total Rewards and Human Analytics, whereby he has influenced and transformed organizations by intervening and re-structuring through their people, processes, tools and data by his radical and pragmatic approach, so as to ensure that HR can give its best value for money in terms of numbers and be true “Business Partners”.
He has delivered many training and lecture sessions in different areas of Human Resources and Management Development for participants and audiences across various levels, institutions and organizations, both in India and abroad. He has also been a guest speaker in national seminars, a visiting faculty in management institutes and other public forums.

He is a MBA from University Business School (UBS), Chandigarh, a Post Graduate Diploma in HRD from Ahmedabad and in Training & Development from ISTD, Delhi. He is also a certified “Quality Specialist” (Total Quality Management) and a Trainer.
He has worked with Fortune 500 Companies in startups, Greenfield projects, as well as operating companies in diverse businesses like Telecoms, IT, Office Automation, Chemical and Pharma, and he has facilitated those organizations to build the “Best Employer” and “Employer of Choice” brands.
He has been the President – Corporate HR (RCom), Chairman Reliance Group HR Council, as well as Profit Center Head as CEO & Director of Reliance HR Services and NIS Sparta in the Reliance ADA Group, Mumbai. He has held Top Leadership positions as President/Director and Management Board Member in organizations like Lupin, Airtel, Idea Cellular, RPG Enterprises, Modi Xerox and Jubiliant Organics.
In his 30 years of experience, he has been trained by and he has worked with Multinational Companies like Xerox (USA), Sprint International (USA), First Pacific (Hong Kong), Telkomsel (Indonesia) and Kyowa Pharma (Japan) on Best HR Practices. He has been associated as a Director/Advisor to various Professional Bodies and Academic Institutions, as well as a Management Speaker at various forums in India and abroad.
He has written and published books and articles on HRD and TQM. He has been recognized as a Top Talent, as well as awarded Best HR Professional, HR Pride and HR Role Model awards by various companies, educational institutions and public forums.
